Global Affairs Canada and the National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC-IRAP), have announced a “Canadian Connected & Autonomous Vehicle R&D Mission to South Korea”, which will take place from 26-29 November, 2019 in Seoul, South Korea.

The mission will focus on introducing Canadian SMEs to potential Korean partners for industrial R&D collaboration.
Examples of R&D collaboration include:
validation of the suitability of Canadian technology to the Korean or other markets;
adaptation of Canadian technology to meet Korean or other market characteristics;
or joint development of new products or services by combining Canadian and Korean technology.
Collaborative R&D projects (validation, adaptation and co-development) between Canadian and Korean companies resulting from the Canadian Connected & Autonomous Vehicle R&D Mission to South Korea may be eligible for Canadian International Innovation Program (CIIP) funding.
CIIP is a Government of Canada funding program to support joint research, development and commercialization between Canadian companies and partner markets. These currently consist of Brazil, China, India, and the Republic of Korea.
