Notable amongst EDC’s excellent research and forecasting resources, the Global Export Forecast, published twice a year (Spring and Fall), is a useful summary and forecast of the major forces influencing the global, national and regional economies, markets and major industrial sectors. The report summarizes current conditions and forecasts out over a maximum of two years. Long enough to take action but short enough to be reasonably reliable.
Access requires registration, but what you get is a free, succinct and useful summary of what’s going on in the world and how that is reflected here in Canada. While I am sure EDC has exporting businesses in mind when it produces these reports, investors, researchers, and students will find them of value as well. Recommended reading.
